go for hagen, my cavy tried that before.... 5 lbs for $7-$8.50 depending on where u buy.... though the pellets bigger size (thickness) than oxbow.... the cavies will chew it to smaller or bite sizes... :) can consider, buy smaller pack from pet lover's centre to try first lor... :D

not sure other shops have not, neh the one beside THE LITTLE PET SHOP one lo :D i don't have no.... wor, but he's closed on wed. He told me himself that is $7plus per pack :D which part of singapore u stay.... if too far go all the way down also waste money and time unless u planning to shop for other stuff too. :D

maybe thats ranked in order of preference/ popularity?
coz actually...i buy oxbow is becoz everyone is talking abt how its good etc etc :P but also got some said nowadays oxbow no good.. :D so, i think its up to u which u think its best for ur GP & u..esp your wallet, huehuhe...i mean, if working ppl then can spend more...but if students, esp if parents dun support, then get a quality budget pellets lo :huh:

by the way, im using oxbow & 8in1...heuehuhe does it mean im in the top 2 GOOD ones hahaha, i never know 8in1 was good...but my GP seems to like it, though, always finish it.

i shld think different pigs got different taste! i bought some pet treats - honey and nuts sticks coated with milk (sum thing like that) for my pigs! they hated it. din touch a bit, all wasted. i gave to my frn and all her pigs finished them all within days! wah!! :P

Ya Prodigy, i used to feed my pigs Encore too.. so they will gobble us the colourful ones and dun touch the pellets.. aft i change to Oxbow, they eat every single pellet up. And my pigs, esp Scamper gained weight.. hence i stuck to Oxbow.

I tried Sluis too.. they like it but the fat content is the highest among the brands i surveyed.

Not sure, i just stick to Oxbow lor... i think somewhere in guinealynx there is a thread on the composition of pellets.. they scan the photos of the pellets and then have a discussion on it. it should be in the forum section.

I feel that pellets should be better than mix because it encourages GPs not to be picky, although it may looked boring... As long as they always finished it in the bowl thats their favourite loh...

mine 10lbs wad do u expect...still so many left, every time take out some and put in tuperware.So the bag one still quite fresh...the expiry is still in June...5 more months....so by tt time my piggies also advised not to eat this ma..must upgrade to Cavy Cuisine :babybonne

Very cute! heehee... reminds me of someone else's piggy.. but i feel u can cut the top part shorter a bit and also the sides so that it won't be dragging in pee and poo.. BTW Dr Ling told me that long coat piggs will get cold if their hair was cut too short. So i guess the mid length fur is ok, but cut those fur dragging on the bedding.

Still no news on the gathering? heeheee... if u guys can tahan then u can come over to my place end March. i teach u all how to groom.

i actually lop alot off the top already. for the neck and head, didnt want to cut too much cos it will all be standing up if its too short. look like bad hair day. i cut off quite abit at the bottom and sides cos of the pee n poo problem. i oso think its not good to go overboard cos they are quite sensitive to cold weather. i had a pig who froze to death so im really careful this time round.

careful u dun cut off his manhood when trimming there hor. i quite phobia abt trimming those places. RR just need to shake then all the fur stand up liao. i think cos the shampoo i used has conditioner so the fur alot softer than before.

Haha I will be careful in order not to cut off his "lifeline". I think he is scared when seeing my sicssors coming towards him... Like I am going to tear his body apart... The shampoo we use affects the "bounce-ness" of their fur? My J J's fur not bouncy, keeps falling down. Haha...

Your hair is rough? Can be because you use too much hair product like wax, spray... Not very good at all times. My BF also everytime use hair spray like drink water. Hmmm... Never mind lah, like father, like guinea pig. Hehe...

use soft brush and grooming brush comb his hair... last time my baby's hair also very hard... very dry... see le fan gan.... then i comb and comb then one week later can see a bit shiny and soft soft.... and also use dry bath powder.... :D
