new gp, hehe

I just got a new gp.. but not very sure what breed it is, its mainly white.. with a few patches of brown.. smooth straight hair.. any ideas guys?
Anyways, how long do they remain shy and afraid? She's been there for bout 2 days.. doesnt realli eat alot, or drink alot.. is it normal? but she still poopoo and urine quite alot.. lol, some advice ppl pls.. =) thanks

errr.. smooth coat??? dotz..... please post pics.... if not hard to say... the coat's color cannot determine the breed.....

he/she should be still scared ba.... tats y not eating much.... takes time for them to adjust to new enviroment

hmm okok.. how long approximately wld she take to adjust ar? but she doesnt realli struggle much when i manage to catch her and carry her out of her home..
and, which houses are good for them? i built a super simple c&c cage for her.. heex

it depends.... some dun need much time to adjust... some take weeks some take months.... be patient.... post pic of her and her cage!!!!

i give alot le.. lots of hay.. den fresh xiaobaichai.. but she dowan eat the veg leh.. but got eat a little pellets a little hay.. water i dunno she got drink anot..

i got her from holland v shopping centre tt pet shop.. cos i tink they got new ones.. then she appealed to me immediately, had her booked and went to get all the gp stuff.. hahaha
prodigy, i just realise i stay super near u.. lol, like im at toh tuck rd lah.. hehehe
i wanna get a house for her leh, now using tissue box wif one side cut out.. lol :)

yaya...time to adjust depends la...depend on u & the piggy.
mine take about at least 2 weeks :) b4 she can wheek not paiseh and can let me stroke her....

always offer food with ur hand (dun use legs hahaha wait she faint coz smelly? lolx) and let her eat from ur hand...dun get too excited & pat her, wait she scared again & you lose her trust...

i got her for 40 ... she nve chew or bite at all.. cos she just hide there all the time.. hahaha.. mine oso super shy, dun even wanna come out of the box.. but mine doesnt wheek or make noises.. hahaha but i tink at least not yet..

dotz.... i made a "sofa" for my pigs by using a soft towel and put it nice nice on a rattan basket.... they can climb in and out on free will during floortime.... always end up wet frm urine or poo....

as for in da cage.... provide 'em wif fiddlesticks... tats the best shelter u can give!!! :D

and will hide there forever and anti-social to human
i only put back the house when at nite......
and day-time when i mostly around i dun put house...
those were the method i use to somehow 'know' my presence & scent..

oh no, my gp just behaved very funny! i just got home, den went to carry her and sayang.. she was ok wif tt.. then when i put her back in the cage.. she run run, den stand up and crawl out halfway thru the grill.. =( how come like that.. but she can eat hay and pellets out of my hand now lei ... what can i do? i scared one day i come home, she ran out le..

Cute! Looks a bit like Popcheek's Pupu... I think she was trying to run off cos she's still getting used to you and the new environment. Give her more time. Mine took about a week to get used to the new place. Try hand feeding her for a start, then after a few times, you can stroke her till she gets used to you. Then carrying her won't be too traumatising for her. Good luck!

Are you using the right cage? Maybe the bars are too wide apart... That's y kena stuck...

Hmmm was just wondering.. After ur gp has settled down, do they still run about when u go near the cage and/or try to touch them? =\ mine's ok with being carried out and handfed .. but she still a litttle runny in the cage..

Errmmm I also faced this problem, but I always stroke first, J J will stay there and I picked him up, instead of straightaway catching him despite the total struggling, then will lead to flying BCs. :lipsrseal At least the tissue box will give your piggie some sense of protection, since she is still new to her new environment. :D
