and those are their towels used to dry them after bathe...if no bathe, the towel serve as security blanket ... to prevent them from peeing on my sofa cover again hahaha :alien1:

Hmmm.... If its really re-adopt out, at least its thru the forum and Mich is aware... Kind of anyway. And he's not selling them for profit. Still, he could have let Mich know, out of courtesy, I guess. She may want them back and rehome them herself...

I have a kind of agreement with my piggies' previous owner, that should I want to rehome the pigs, I let her know and she will take them back and rehome them herself. Guess she wants to screen potential adopters.... :) But (heh, heh) dun think I'm gonna give them up lah.

Anyways, let's see what kelvin has to say. He might have his valid reasons.

BTW I have found a potential adopter who can house their current home of size 4 ft x abt 3 ft tank. I do not want some one who just adopt them and downsize their home as they are very happy in their current home. Those who have SMS me and i have not reply is because i have accidentally erase the SMS. I will update this thread if I kena arrowplane this weekend.

This is Kelvin's wife replying to this post, because I see the need to clarify some things.

1) The tank used to house the GPs is a fibre glass tank. Not the normal tanks used to keep aquatic pets.

2) Not informing the lady whom we adopted the GPs from that we are putting up the GPs for adoption is a slip of mind on Kelvin's part and we apologise for this. Too much things had happened recently, and both of us had been under tremendous strees, and we simply do not have much brain cells left to think so much before putting the GPs up for adoption, thus the slip of mind.

The reasons for putting up the GPs and also the gerbils that we have for adoption: Besides the fact that Kelvin needs to go for overseas training, it's also because I had been in very bad health since last November, and even had to be hospitalised twice. Till now, I am still recovering and the recovery is slow.

With the need to juggle between his work and taking care of me, he has no choice but to give up the pets for adoption as I am not capable of taking care of the pets at all, single-handedly.

3) Since we started caring for the GPs, I would say (of course you may not agree) that we have taken good care of them. It's a tough decision when we decided to put them up for adoption.

4) I was the one who accidentally deleted all the SMSes that Kelvin had received. However, I believed that in the event that a reply is not received, the sender could have sent another SMS, instead of saying on the forum that no reply is received from Kelvin. Moreover, this is the CNY period. We are not able to come online as often as we want, since we need to go house-visiting.

5) Pictures of the GPs are taken, but we simply do not have the time to sit down and get the pictures uploaded for viewing.

6) Mich, if you want to have the GPs back, you can contact Kelvin on 94232240. I believe he doesn't have your contact number. Priority will be given to you. However, would appreciate if you could let him know by tomorrow if you want the GPs back, so that we can inform the potential new owner.

All these above are my personal comments, and has got nothing to do with Kelvin. If this post has caused any unhappiness to anyone, I apologise. But please do not bombard Kelvin anymore, as he is already having enough problems, having to cope with stress at work, and taking care of me, his very sick wife.

Yes, my poor health is giving both of us a lot of stress, as it's a illness that need at least 6 mths treatment, and during these 6 mths, when I can't even take good care of myself (especially when Kelvin is away for training), how will I be able to take good care of the pets. Instead of making them suffer, we would rather hope that they go to good homes.

If we could choose, we would want to keep them, as they had been with us for so long, and the bond is there.

As for the pics, I am still trying to load, because my FTP program is not up yet... Do give us some time.

Also, I have contact a lady who wanted to adopt the pigs. Her number is 91918157 Jingwen. She has a 3 feet cage with hays and such and she is ready and will adopt the pigs in the afternoon.

To assure you, I have asked her to pop by and drop a message. Please be assured that the pigs have found a new home. Sorry again for all the misunderstandings.

Just a reminder to all potential adopters and adoptees: If you are adopting out, pls screen your potential owners to ensure that they know the responsibilities and that they are not gonna use the pigs as snake food, re-adopt them out etc...

If you are adopting, please read up on the responsibilities you need to take up. GPs may seem the same as rabbits and hamsters but their needs are very different, and you need to be able to spare enough time everyday to meet those responsibilities.
