hey , eventhough this thread is like long time ago, i would like to add another clinic which i had a good experience with my gerbils but i don't know about guinea pigs.

Four paws pet centre, Bedok south Ave 3

One thing i like about this pet clinic is that they're sincere in helping animals and they're not for the money. The charge for guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters etc. are $11. perfect for students like me :D

well before i wasn't sure about vets treating small animals like gerbils or guinea pigs properly. Dr Namly have been recommended everywhere. But i think we should also recommend other places nearer to our homes :D if we find they're good.

last time i took my doggy there also say put to sleep. he took his maltese with skin problems and the vet say hopeless case and wanna put to sleep. lucky he went around many other places and try to treat snoopy himself. now the doggy's still alive and kicking!

Yup its four paws I am talking about. Although its not very near to MRT but with the bus its easily to find, suitable for directionless sense people like me, Hoho~ Most probably I will go there for vet visit instead of Namly cos its too Ulu, Haha~

Same here..will not recommend ppl to james tan. One bad experience is a whole life haunting to me. My piggy have a big anscess...and have a wound on a swollen anscess......as most of the clinic is either full or close..i have no choice but to make my way to JT.AND TO MY HORROR...without any anesthetic on my piggy gal...the vet use bare hand to squeeze the cheezy tissue out from my her wounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!My piggy scream in pain....and i ask the vet to stop, he told me if stop...nobody can save my piggy!!! I am so upset and dunno what to do. He ask me to hospitalise my piggy and he wanna operate on her!!!!I REFUSE..and i think i make a RIGHT CHOICE!! I bring my piggy to another clinic and she is treated and she is fine now. Phew!!

Yah need to book if you are unsure of their schedules. And one con thingy is, they opened until noon only, no evening visits. Basically, the staff there are friendly, and they are easily located for my case.

Hmmm...I think is not his drinking habit, maybe is his generic problem. My pig got this problem! I bought many chewing toys for him. He chew a lot but just dosen't work...So I have to bring him to the vet every month, to trim his teeth.
Actually if you are brave enough to cut it yourself. This was what the vet told me. You can do it yourself! Some GP groomer do teeth triming too.
I dunno about Hougang area. I bring my pig to Mount Pleasant East Coast Rd. I tried Bedok 4 paws but they said no!

Haha...actually cutting the teeth is just like cutting the nails. You need to be brave, fast and accurate!
Sorry, it is easily said than done...I, myself send my pig to the vet. My pig needs to trim all his 4 front teeth! Haha...but all the vet needs is maybe just 1-2 minutes.
If you really can't do the job, sent him to the vet ASAP. I think it is quite difficult for him to chew or eat...maybe...

Just my opinion, but I think teeth trimming should be done by vets. Cos if you are not careful, you might split the teeth, and that will cause more problems.... Good luck with your pig, Maxine.

Kevkok... Wow, din know your pig had such problems... So its confirmed not the way he eats? Poor pig....
