i cant remember which thread is it.... but i think someone posted.... something like.... 4 months and above can start wet bathing, with powder bath in between, less that 4 month powder bath. (Jace did a photo demo before.)

ya tts right. if they're younger than 4 mths powder bath coz they are more susceptible to colds. older than 4 mths can bathe. jace did a grooming thread...so you can learn how to groom them when they grow bigger and have more hair (if they're peru lah).

oh abbys have many many many rosettes if im not wrong...more than peru. not sure of the exact number coz i v much prefer short haired guinea pigs. but you shd be able to differentiate based on the number of rosettes your pig has.

btw kimchi are your fatt choy siblings? they look like twins! :D

yeah,i kinda think they are siblings too. coz fatt hv some of choy's brown colour near the ears which can be seen closeup.

though both hv red eyes, i noticed the shape of their ears are different. fatt hv smaller & upright ears, while choy hv bigger and floopy ears.

i'll try to get clearer pics of them soon or something.

eh kimchi, your pigs will eat cabbage ah mine wont, lolx... they dun like.
and just frenly tips, cabbage is can eat, but its better not very often, eg maybe 2-3x a month/ consider a treat..lol which like defeat the purpose of buyinh it..unless u KAPO from your mom's dish b4 she cook hahahaha..

the reason is i read tt cabbage has little nutrition, and high water content. So if too much, can laosai.:D

My Queen actually feeds J J cabbage when I not around... Like she cooking, will give some to him... When I come back, thought is tissue paper in the cage (my eyesight no good, blurish) and see nearer, oh is cabbage. I scared she fed too juch until got laxative effects, but so far don't. U shouldn't be feeding cabbage!! its one of the 2 veggies that we can't feed our pigs as it causes gas. Are u referring to lettuce instead? lettuce has low nutrition. as ur pigs are still young please change the vegs u are feeding..

Yah, mine's a long coat. Short coats are also nice (wanted to see a Dutch breed though) but for adult GPs I prefer long coat. I thought mine was Abysinnian in the first place.

today i went to pasar....and bought kang kong & spinach.. 20cents for each bunch :p

at home, wash the spinach and gave them. They eat the leaves...leave the stems.

Kimchi, last time Pupu also very fussy eater...give anything, she seemed very reluctant to eat, and only ate wad she finds familiar (those food tt my seller fed her piggies). Now pupu not so choosy, will eat any leafy veggy i gave her. Carrots also will eat, usually not straight away...leave it overnight...the nx morning gone.

hey xiaoevo, dun worry k. my sydney didn't understand that veges can be eaten at first. every vege tt i put in the cage would be left uneaten when she was still a baby pig, even hand feeding her didn't work. and she's a picky eater some more (still is..*headache*)

some veges she likes are kangkong, chyesim, capsicum, carrot, and local lettuce which she gets once in a while. it takes some time for them to register tt veges r gd for them i think.

err dunno leh, carrot i still can leave overnight...
but those like apples/banana/wadever fruits... usually i give them, after few hours i go find the remains...and throw, even if they never touch. Coz those very fast rotten.

even for veggy, if they eat the leaves then ok lah..stems i leave overnight then morning pick up throw away...but if they eat the stems & dun eat the leaves, same like fruits....coz the green leaf will turn black...very unsightly and i dun think its nice taste :hyper: so throw the blackened leaves.

btw, now i change the cage position to near the kitchen/service balcony :( coz King Pig today scold me say since i keep the gps the house in a mess.... :mad: and so, reluctantly i move lo... maybe also a good thing lah, coz if i wanna see them, means i gotta visit kitchen often..then i will wash the dirty plates & cups promptly, and not leave them for tomolo then wash :goodvibes but bad point is....i cant see their movement as often....which is so sad :(

Popcheek Pupu and Machi go to Kitchen stay liao? Wah same as me liao... J J also very neglected there one... And today at Jurong Point I found a piggy cage I liked, enough for 2 GPs even as in separated. Costs $149 so I was thinking if I should buy leh. And see the piggies there, cannot touch, so boring!

For the veggies thingy I don't know whats the maximum stay in the cage but whenever I see the leftovers in J J's cage (Especially Pandan leaves) I will still continue to leave there and refill the second meal as well. Yesterday we happened to eat apples so my sister give him one slice, and today gone. Better dont give him so much fruit also... For leafy veggies definitely stay longer.

Cold Storage is very expensive one... Their one bunch of 35-55 cents and in wet market two bunches for 20 cents! Sometimes I bo bian go NTUC to buy if its really out of stock.

pandan leaves....i think if u go to SHOP & SAVE sure have. Cold Storage the veggy is sometimes slightly more exp than NTUC, but it is definitely fresher, and they got wad NTUC dun have.

I always buy sweet potato leaves, but NTUC always 80% dun have/sold out. But Cold Storage will have, and it looks 'alive' not limp/withered.

However, i always find time to go to market whenever possible....usually its weekend, coz weekdays mornings i have to go work...and veggy market usually open from morning till noon. Veggy in market is darn cheap....ranging from 20cents-50cents per bunch....in supermarket is at least 65cents-$1.

but although its darn cheap from market, i dun buy too much....coz i seldom cook (rather, CANT cook) :D and i not veggy-lover. So veggy is somehow for pigpig only.

Ah wen: eh? JJ in kitchen also ah....last time is where? Very the sianz leh...usually i will play laptop in living room, and watch TV. then the pigs are just beside the TV cabinet....so i can always see their antics....now in kitchen, i think i will miss out alot of funny action :( and also my laptop now put in study room.... :yuck: i dun like King Pig~

my laptop stupid one....
if i put the battery in, and plug the AC adaptor....usually will auto AC power ma..this one something weird, it will run on battery till finish....

so i took out the battery, plug the AC connection....so tt it runs on AC power (coz battery only 3 hrs)....i complain to Acer liao....

i am actually quite dissapointed...my 1st set was 'used'..not brand new!!! HOW DARE THEY! the tampines challenger is where i bought this from. When i bring it home i found files tt doesnt belong to me....and neither my husband. Got folder inside got chinese songs, got folder inside got racing queens & cars fotos..i was like...WTF????

then i go back Challenger & complain....they replace me with new one...this time nothing inside, but got this battery problem. Then i quite busy so didnt have time to go back again & complain...but i email to acer.com.sg the technical support.... the reason my laptop is not mobile is becoz now i ON ac power...so if i wanna move it elsewhere, plug off the wire, it will OFF. and the battery if no recharge also no power...

in short, this is a lousy brand new laptop and im very dissapointed with it, but oredi paid.

my ah fatt-fatt hv 4 rosettes. 2 at shoulder & 2 at hip. so his fur will like batman & grows outwards. Very hard to comb...coz overall, there's no fixed direction to comb.

my ah cai...not so bad. he hv 1 big rosette on his back. so like JJ & shabu lydat, half go to his butt, other side towards the head like fringe.

hmm..quite strange leh, coz i used to think they are brothers.
