Guinea pig up for adoption at SPCA

I went down to the SPCA pound today. There's a guinea pig up for adoption. 8 months old male, smooth coat, tri-colour. He seems like a sweet little boy, only thing is, he's housed with a dwarf rabbit. When I tried to remove the piggie from the cage, the dwarf rabbit lunged foward and bit him. The piggie seems stressed, he was chattering his teeth when the bunny bit him and hiding in the little house that was in the cage and he kept staring warily at the rabbit out of the corner of his eye when he went to the food bowl.

To make things worse, I approached one of the volunteers in the pound and informed him of what happened. He didn't seem to take me seriously and said that "it was okay to keep rabbits and guinea pigs together since he himself does it too".

Yes, it was Monty! Good to hear that! Who adopted him? Anyway I'm seeing Selina this weekend, I am so going to complain about that volunteer.

It was Beve who adopted Monty, and will be collecting him next week... Don't worry yah? Haha... Were there a lot of Hammies? I would like to adopt it if possible and get permission...

ah wen: i think u can consider getting a long haired syrian hamster.....they can grow quite big, so it will remind u of JJ baby-time :D small, & hairy :D.....

i like all hamsters, but not the shy ones...i like hamsters tt respond to my hand & willin to be picked up...last time bf uncles gave him robo hammies...even after 2 yrs later, they see a hand will run away. never kena catch, never kena stroked...dumb robos :x

wow, grace! wat breed is ur hammy? so lovable! my marshmallow, winter white i think, will come sniff my hand then no food he runs away de.. so sad... but i can still catch him to stroke la... my sis' robos also never never want to be caught and they bite too :(
