Dear all Happy New Year and thanks for your concern and support,

An update on Jack's condition. His condition has stabilised somewhat although his blood count is still low (21 to 23) and is heavily reliant on medication to keep his system stable. Blood count is not climbing but we are thankful to God that it is not falling. We have no idea what is actually wrong and it's still a process of elimination (bone marrow not producing enough red blood cells, fits, unable to walk & heart arrhythmia; all could be caused by the low RBC and linked in some ways).
I am actually uncomfortable that we are giving ourselves false hopes as his blood count had crashed twice when it appeared to be on the verge of improving. So far, we have one standby blood donor (blood not taken for fear it would deteriorate). Guess we will keep our fingers crossed but it is indeed heartwarming to know so many are concerned and have volunteered to help.
We hope you will not mind if we continue to contact some of you for cross matching of blood sample to ensure that Jack will have suitable blood source if his blood count crashes again, which we hope will not happen.
Thank you once again for your time, your help and concern. For those of you who have volunteered blood samples, we are indebted to your help.

Hi,

I really hope that Jack gets well. I am unable to bring Rex for test cos almost quarrelled with hubby over this. He does not like the idea saying Rex is not suitable, not fit, etc... Anyway, hope Jack gets wells soon. Will continue praying for him..

i heard that he's gone home already. updates on his progress? think everyone here is anxious to know if jack's condition has improved.

jack....hope everything turns out well......i emphatised with u....even though my puppy swallow a 10 cent coin and didnt eat well.....it worried me like hell.....she and i believe jack have become a part of our family......things will turn out well...alvin....pray to that.....
